Fatal accident kills motorcyclist after car crosses center line

Ohio motorists need to be completely aware of their surroundings whether they are in a truck, car or riding a motorcycle. There is danger everywhere whether it stems from poor weather conditions, negligence on the part of another motorist, a distracted driver, a design flaw in the vehicle and numerous other reasons. Those who are involved in a crash can be injured severely. In the worst case scenario, the crash will end up being a fatal accident. Those who have suffered the loss of a loved one in an accident on the road need to know what to do to receive compensation after it has happened.

A 31-year-old fireman was riding his motorcycle to work when he was hit head-on by a Toyota Avalon that was heading in the opposite direction and crossed the yellow line. The man was married and had three children ages 6, 3 and 1. The accident occurred at shortly after 6:00 a.m. According to the law enforcement investigation, no one involved in the crash appears to have been impaired. The 24-year-old driver of the Avalon is reportedly being cooperative in the investigation, but law enforcement is trying to determine if this was a distracted driving incident, as they cannot find the driver's cellphone.

No matter the circumstances of a fatal incident, the family left behind will have a lot to consider. Insurance companies often make a preemptive offer to avoid a legal case and families might accept it without realizing the magnitude of their loss.

This is almost always a mistake. There will be financial, personal and emotional issues that must be sorted through. There could be medical expenses that accrued before the death. There will be funeral expenses and the stress of the unknown moving forward. When there is a wrongful death, the family must make certain that a full investigation is conducted with their interests in mind to determine the exact cause.
